Charles de Gaulle international airport is the most important in France and one of the busiest in the world. It receives flights from all major destinations in all continents. Nearly 61 million passengers passed through the airport in 2011. Location
Charles de Gaulle international airport, also known as Aéroport Roissy, is located 25 km (16 miles) northeast of Paris.

Number of Terminals - 3 - the terminals are connected by the CDGVAL airport metro line.

Public Transport
Buses, trains, taxis link the airport to the entire metropolitan area. Bus lines 350 and 351, from Roissybus company, goes from the Opera metro station in central Paris to Terminal 2A, 2C, 2E-2F, 2D, 2B, 3 and 1, and vice versa. The journey time is between 45 and 60 minutes. Public buses No. 2, 3 and 4 link the airport to Paris on Charles-de-Gaulle-Etoile square (ticket fare €17), Paris-Orly (€20) and Montparnasse (€7,60) respectively, every 20 or 30 minutes. There is a TGV station at the airport between terminals 2C-2D and 2E-2F. There is also a B line station of the regional train RER in terminals 1 and 3, and the journey time between the city center and the airport is approximately 50 minutes. On the other hand, passengers can hire a limousine. A door to door minibus service from the airport to Paris is also available (journey time 75 minutes). For bookings call (01) 4365 5555. The taxi ride to Paris costs about €50, Villepinte exhibition centre: €20, Stade de France: €30, Paris-Orly airport: €50 and Paris Porte de Versailles Convention and Exhibition Center: €52.

The airport also provides banks, ATMs and currency exchange service in all terminals, post offices in Terminals 1 and 2, cell phones, public phones and wireless internet access (first 15 minutes free), as well as plug in for laptops in terminals 1 and notebooks 2. The conference rooms are provided by Sheraton Paris Airport Hotel.

Shopping - There are also several shops including duty free in all terminals, souvenir items, perfume and cosmetics, newspapers and tobacconist.

Other Services - pharmacy, medical center, playground in terminals 1 and 2, chapels, among other facilities. There are information desks all around the terminals.

Disabled Facilities - lifts, ramps, adapted telephones and toilets, among other services. Wheelchairs are available (prior arrangement with your airline company or travel agency).

Parking - Charles de Gaulle airport has a big parking capacity, each terminal has a parking garage next to the building and connected with it by elevators. The parking for longer stays are further away but a free shuttle bus transfers passengers to the terminals. Parking fares: short-term car park: €4 hourly, €32 14 hours and €34 daily; long-term car park: €4 hourly, €25 daily and €151 weekly. There are also parking spaces for disabled people.
