Belfast Airport is the busiest in Northern Ireland and one of the busiest in the United Kingdom. It serves not only the Belfast metropolitan area but almost the entire region of Northern Ireland. It has flights to major parts of Europe, North America, among other destinations. About 4.1 million passengers transited it in 2011. Belfast International Airport is located 21 km (14 miles) northwest of Belfast.

Public Transport
Buses, trains, taxis connect the airport with the metropolitan area. Antrim Airlink train leaves the terminal toward the nearest train station (Atrim) which is 10 km (6 miles) from the airport. (Ask for availability of this service on weekends). All buses departing from the airport have stops in Belfast, Royal Avenue, Belfast bus station Europe (jorney time from the airport to Belfast city center is 30 to 40 minutes depending on traffic conditions). The bus line n ° 300 from Airport Express Company tel:(028) 9066 6630 - runs 24 hours with a frequency of 15 minutes and connects the airport with the central bus station in 30 minutes, stopping previously in Royal Avenue (Templepatrick) - ticket fare €8,45. The Ulsterbus 109A bus service links the airport with Lisburn and runs every 1 hour between 6 am and 6 pm from Monday to Sunday with stops at Lisburn railway station, airport and bus station in Antrim. In addition, a express service bus (Airporter) tel:(028) 7126 9996 - connects the airport to Londonderry and Lisburn (ticket fare: €22,40). The taxi stands are just outside the terminal and the cab service is provided by Belfast International Airport Taxi (tel: (028) 9448 4353). Food and drink - A cafe and bar in the departures area, fast food, restaurants, and several food stands scattered around the airport.
Shopping - several souvenir shops, newspapers and magazines, duty free shops, regional products, among others.
