Manchester Airport is one of the UK's busiest airports. It serves the Greater Manchester and has flights throughout Europe, North America, Middle East, North Africa, among other destinations. Around 19.8 million passengers transited through it in 2012. Low cost airlines: Flybe, Monarch Airlines, Jet2, Ryanair, EasyJet, GermanWings, Brussels Airlines, Norwegian Air Shuttle and TUIfly.

Manchester International Airport is located 17 km (10 miles) southwest of Manchester.

3 - the terminals are connected by Skylink walkways.

Public Transport
Express and public buses, trains, trams and taxis connect the airport with the entire metropolitan area. There is an airport area called The Station, at the confluence of trains and city buses as well as medium and long distance buses. The Station is communicated with the three terminals through Skylink walkways. The rail service (tel: 0845 748 4950) reach various destinations in northern England and the Midlands (ticket fare: £3,80). There are up to 9 trains per hour between the airport and Manchester Piccadilly Station in the downtown, where connections can be made to the rest of UK (journey time: 20 minutes). There is a frequent tram (MetroLink) between the airport and Manchester Piccadilly Station as well (Altrincham, Bury, Eccles and South Manchester). On the other hand, there are several bus lines that target various towns nearby, and the Manchester city centre. For further information (tel: 0871 200 2233). Bus lines (200, 18, 18A, 19, 43, 105, 369, 199, 200 and 44) operates at the airport 24 hours (journey time to the city center: 45 min - ticket: £2,90). Taxi ranks are located in the arrivals area of the terminals. Taxi service companies are Arrow Cars and Hackney Cabs (journey time to Manchester 30 min - fare: £18). In addition, there is a chauffeur service provided by Tristar Worldwide.

There are car rental desks from the most recognized companies in each terminal (Dollar, Europcar, Hertz, Budget, National / Alamo, Enterprise, Sixt, Avis and Thrifty). Hire a car




The business center of the airport has a meeting room, internet access and video conferencing equipment, and other necessary equipment for all types of business executive and VIP lounges. Some of the hotels located within the enclosure can provide catering for 400 guests. Manchester Airport has also banking services, automated teller machines (ATM), bureau of change, post office, telephones and Wi-Fi.
Food and drink - Each terminal offers restaurants, fast food, cafes and bars, and most of them remain open 24 hours.

Manchester Airport has information desks in all terminals and in turn tourist information booths at terminals 1 and 2.

Disabled Facilities - ramps, adapted toilets and telephones, travel with guide dogs is permitted (with the approval of the airline and being the animal registered in PETS), audio induction loop system for the hearing impaired passengers, among other services. The airport has assistance points in the hall of each terminal, located in Terminal 1 at the counter n ° 22, in Terminal 2 in front of counter No. 50 and in Terminal 3 at the counter n ° 37. Parking - Manchester Airport has about 14 000 parking spaces. The parking lots are connected to the terminals by free shuttle buses. Parking rates in short-term parking lot: £4,50 per hour, £35 per day and £245 per week; in long-term: £27 per day, £90 per week and £160 the two weeks.
