Toronto International Airport is the busiest in Canada and one of the world's largest in terms of passengers traffic. It serves not only to the Toronto area but also the entire region of Ontario and many other canadian cities. From the airport departs and arrives many domestic flights and several international ones includind destinations such us the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean, major points in Europe, the Middle East, South America, among others. It was visited by around 34.9 million passangers in 2012. Some low cost airlines operating at the airport are: Sunwing and West Jet.

Location
The airport is located 27 Km (16 miles) northeast of the city of Toronto, Ontario.

Number of Terminals -
2 - Terminal 1 and 3, are connected by the LINK train running 24 / 7, and accessible by wheelchairs.

Public Transport
Shuttles, taxis, limousines and buses link the airport to the urban area. Public bus 192 reaches the Kipling Metro Station in 20 minutes. Line 58A goes to the Lawrence West Station rank in 1 hour. Night bus 300A connects the airport with the intersection between Danforth Av. and Bloor Street in 45 minutes (ticket fare: $3 CAD)., and the 307 night bus goes up to Yonge Street and Eglinton Avenue in 45 minutes. There are also other public services such as Go Transit (Tel. 416 869 3200), which offers a bus to the York Mils metro station (in about 45 minutes), and Yorkdale metro station (in about 35 minutes). The Mississauga Transit (Tel. 905 896 5151) goes to Mississauga and Brampton Transit (Tel. 905 874 2130) to Brampton town. Pacific Western Airport Express is also an express service reaching the city center in 20 or 30 minutes depending on the traffic. Airport Express (Tel. 1 800 387 6787) has a 24 hour shuttle service to downtown Toronto and some hotels (jorney time: 45 minutes; ticket fare: $30 CAD). The taxi and shuttles ranks are close to the arrivals level. Also in the arrivals area of each terminal there are information desks providing transportation schedule and fares. More than 300 taxis and 200 limousines are availabe at Toronto airport. Rates are based from $1,45 CAD/km for taxis and $1,55 CAD/km for limousines.

Facilities and Services
There are car rental desks from the most recognized companies (Avis, Budget, Dollar/Thrifty, Enterprise, Hertz and National/Alamo) in both terminals. Besides, courtesy cars transfer passangers to the companies desks. Hire a car


The airport has currency exchange office and ATM, public telephones and Wi-fi Internet access. The Sheraton Gateway Hotel, located within the grounds, has a fully equipped business center with meeting and conference rooms.
Food and Drinks - restaurants, cafes and bars are located throughout the grounds.
Shopping - there are a lot of stores, including duty free shops, local souvenirs, newspapers and tobacconist kiosks.
Baggage - Left luggage in both terminals, baggage carts in terminals and parking lots, as well as lost property office (Terminal 1: +1 (416) 776-7749) | Terminal 3 +1 (416) 776-7751)
Other Services - medical services, baby change facilites, shoeshine services, chapels, etc. There are information desks in all terminals, and also passengers assistance by uniformed personnel.

Disabled Facilities - ramps, elevators and adapted toilets, TTY telephones, among other services for people with disabilities and the elderly. Wheelchairs available (previously arranged with your airline company or travel agency).

Parking - The Toronto Airport has more than 11 thousand parking spaces (most of them covered). There is a free transportation service connecting the parking lots with the terminals. Parking rates: short-term car park: $3 CAD every 20 minutes and $90 CAD per day; in long-term parking lot: $3 CAD every 20 minutes, $15 CAD daily and $70 CAD per month. There are spaces reserved for handicapped people and Valet Parking. Further information calling (416) 776-5158.

Accomodation - The Sheraton Gateway Hotel (Tel. (905) 672 7000) is within the Toronto Airport, next to Terminal 3. In the vicinity of the airport there are several international hotels such us: Homewood Suites by Hilton, Delta Meadowvale Resort and Conference Centre, Four Points by Sheraton - Meadowvale, Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott, among others.
