Mexico City International Airport, is Mexico's largest and busiest in Latin America. It operates domestic flights to all destinations in Mexic and also, it receives various daily international flights mainly from the United States, The Caribbean, Canada and some parts of Europe and Latin America, among other destinations. Around 26.37 million passengers travelled through it in 2011. Several companies (some of them low-cost) operate at the airport complex, such as American Airlines, Volaris, British Airways, Interjet, Viva Aerobus, Air Canada, Qantas Airways, Aeromar, United Airlines, Lan Airlines, etc.

Location
The airport is located 10 km (6 miles) east of Mexico City DF.

Number of Terminals -
2 - airtrain, buses and minibuses (called 'colectivos' - up to 8 passengers) connect both terminals.

Public Transport
Metro, buses and taxis connect the airport with the city and neighboring towns. The Metro stop is outside the terminal, across the parking lot. Line 5 goes to the north of the city ending the jorney at the Politecnico; one way ticket price: 3 pesos (0.24 dollars). In addition, Metrobus line 4, runs from Buenavista to San Lázaro metro station and airport terminals 1 and 2. Fare: $30 mexican pesos (USD 2.25) and it operates from 4.30 am until midnight. Taxi ranks are in the arrivals terminal (gates 1 and 10 - Terminal 1) and (gates 3 and 4 - Terminal 2). The companies approved by the airport are: Comfort, Porto Taxi, Nueva Imagen, Site 300 and Yellow Cab. On the other hand, the long distance buses stops are in front of the vehicular ramp on the international area (in terminal 1) and just outside the Terminal by Gate D (in terminal 2). They are available 24 hours, and have multiple destinations and their respective rates in mexican pesos are: Cuernavaca $150, Puebla $210, Pachuca $150, Querétaro $269, Toluca $135, Orizaba $375, Córdoba $420, San Juan del Rio $168.

Facilities and Services
There are car rental services from the most recognized companies in Terminal 1 (Alamo, Avis, Budget, Executive Car Rental, Europcar, Eurodollar, Gold Car, Hertz, Sictel, Sixt, Thrifty and National) and in Terminal 2 (Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Europcar, Six, Thrifty, Hertz and National). Banks with foreign exchange counters, ATMs and post office in the domestic arrival area are also available, as well as, mobile rental service, public phones and Wi-Fi. Besides, the Hilton Mexico City Airport Hotel, located within the enclosure, has a business center, meeting rooms and also the Airport Camino Real Hotel has meeting and audit rooms.
Food and drink - variety of restaurants, fast food, bars and cafes, some of them open 24 hours.
Shopping - many stores, including duty free, souvenirs, cosmetics and perfumes, jewelry, music, clothing and shoe store, wine and liquor stores, crafts and souvenirs, newspapers and tobacconist.
Baggage - lost and found office (tel: + 2482-2289 - terminal 1) and (2598-7169 - Terminal 2). Lockers are available as well as luggage wrapping and porter service.
Other Services - Pharmacies and 24-hour medical service, photocopying, shoeshine service, among other facilities. It has a tourist information desk in both the international and domestic arrivals area.

Disabled Facilities - ramps, elevators, moving walkways, transportation in mini vehicles, electric stairs and ramps, adapted public telephones and restrooms, among other services. Wheelchairs are available (previously arranged with your airline or travel agency)

Parking - Mexico DF airport has a parking area for approximately 2000 vehicles close to the terminal. It is divided into 4 parking lots and provides areas for short and long term, plus covered parking spaces, There is Valet parking service available and parking spaces reserved for disabled people.

Accomodation - The Hilton Mexico City Airport Hotel is located within the terminal 1, on the third level and the NH Hotel in Terminal 2. The Airport Camino Real Hotel is connected to the airport through a covered pedestrian bridge and the Fiesta Inn in front of the airport complex. Also in the vicinity of the airport there are several hotels such as Hotel J.W. Marriott, Hotel Marquis Reforma, Hotel Camino Real, Hotel Habita, Mexico City Hilton Reforma, Hotel Regent, among others. Most of them offer a shuttle bus service to transport guests.
