Anchorage International Airport serves the entire region of Alaska and is a very important base for trade commercial with Asia. It receives a lot of domestic flights and some international ones, such as Russia, Taiwan, Germany, charters to South Korea and Japan, among others. Location
Anchorage International Airport is located 6 km (4 miles) southeast of downtown Anchorage.

Number of Terminals - 2 - North (international) and South (domestic). A 24-hour free bus runs between the terminals and the car rental area.

Public Transport
Public buses, courtesy cars and taxis connect the airport with the urban area. The local bus service carries passengers to the city center and the Dimond Center every 30 minutes. The ticket price is $ 1.75 and the trip to downtown Anchorage takes about 20 minutes. Taxi ranks are located in the baggage claim area (South Terminal) and in the arrivals area (North Terminal). The taxi companies authorized to work in the exhibition are Yellow Cab (tel. (907) 222 2222) and Checker Cab (tel. (907) 276 1234) (the approximate fee to downtown Anchorage is $ 20, and the journey time is 20 minutes). There are also additional shuttle services off campus with prior reservation.

Disabled Facilities - Anchorage Airport provides facilities for people with disabilities (ramps, TDD telephones, toilets, guide dogs resting areas, among other amenities). Wheelchairs are also available (prior coordination with your airline or travel agency).

Accomodation - There are no hotels within the Anchorage airport, but only 1.5 km (1 mile) away, are located the Millennium Alaskan Hotel and the Coast International Inn.
