Denver International Airport serves Colorado State and is one of the busiest in the country and the world, with domestic and international flights. Around 53 million passengers passed through it in 2011. It has particular and unique style in its architecture: the white and irregular shape of its ceiling, simulating a snowy Rocky Mountains replica, the region where the airport is. Several companies (including low cost ones) operates at the airport, such us: Southwest Airlines, Air Canada, United Airlines, US Airways, Frontier Airlines, Delta Air Lines, KLM, British Airways, American Airlines.

Denver International Airport is located 37 km (23 miles) northeast of the city.

Number of Terminals - 1 - A large terminal split into 3 concourses

Public Transport
Buses, shuttles door to door, limousines and taxis connect the airport with the metro area. Within the enclosure, at level 5 are taxi ranks, shuttles and buses stops. Taxis serve the Denver metropolitan area and some other destinations within the state of Colorado. Fare and destinations: Boulder ($ 87.75), downtown Denver ($ 54.75), downtown Denver Tech ($ 60.75), Broomfield and Louisville area ($ 69.75); rates to other locations are based on the meter. There are several bus companies departing from the terminal to neighboring states and long distances trips. Facilities and Services
There are car rental offices from the most recognized companies at Level 5 of the terminal building (Advantage, Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, EZ Rent a Car, Enterprise, Fox, Hertz, National, Payless, Thrifty). Companies offer courtesy buses to the parking car rental lot. Hire a car




Denver Airport in turn has foreign exchange services, post office and automated teller machines (ATM), public telephony and Internet Wi-Fi. In the lobby B is located the Qwest Business Center. The nearby Crowne Plaza Denver International Airport Hotel offers conference and meeting rooms.

Shopping -several shops, including souvenirs, gift shops, duty-free shops, in halls A and B, newspapers and tobacconist.
Baggage - carts, baggage wrapping service, as well as left luggage at level 5 and lost and found office on level 6 (tel: (303) 342 4062 ).
Other Services - first aid, games area, massages room, hair salon, chapel, travel assistance, charging mobile phone batteries service, gas station, shoeshine service, smoking section, among other amenities. There is a tourist information office and general information desks in the arrivals level.

Disabled Facilities - Denver Airport provides facilities for people with disabilities (ramps, TTY phones for deaf and hard of hearing people, toilets, among other services). Wheelchairs are also available (by prior arrangement with your airline or travel agency).

Parking - Denver airport has a big parking area (14, 000 places). There are two covered car parks for short-term; one of them in eastern side and the other one in western side of the terminal. In turn, there are budget car parks outdoors for longer stays. There is also a temporary parking area next to the terminal building for fast pick-up and drop-off of passengers. Shuttles run permanently to transfer passengers from one area to another and from/to the terminal building. In addition, there are parking spaces reserved for handicapped and Valet Parking in the Arrivals area, level 4 on both sides of the terminal building: east and west.
