Guarulhos International Airport - Sao Paulo, also known as Cumbica airport is the most important in terms of international flights, not only in Brazil but in all South America. It receives flights from the Americas, Europe, Africa and Asia. About 30 million passengers transited through it in 2011. Several airline companies operate at the airport, such as: TAM Linhas Aereas Trip, Lufthansa, LAN, Aerolineas Argentinas, British Airways, Iberia, Pluna, Qatar Airways, United Airlines, Fly Emirates.

Location
The airport is located 25 km (18 miles) northeast of Sao Paulo.

Number of Terminals - 3 - Two of them (T1 and T2) are within walking distance and the other one (T4) is 1.3 miles but accessed by bus.

Public Transport
Shuttle buses, vans, and taxis connect the airport with the downtown area: (Journey time: 45 minutes). There is also, a bus service connecting Guarulhos airport with the domestic flights (Congonhas). Tickets can be previously purchased in the arrivals area. Taxi ranks are at the exit of the airport terminals with fixed rates to the center of the city, which are collected in advance.

The airport also provides banks, ATMs, currency exchange service, 24-hour post office, public phones, free Wi-Fi in the boarding area, VIP lounges, two conference and meetings rooms for 80 to 100 people.

Shopping - souvenirs, various retail stores and duty free shops, newspapers and tobacconist, in both terminals.
Equipaje - Trolleys are available. There is a 24-hour left luggage available in the arrivals area.
Other Services - travel agencies, pharmacies and emergency services, cultural space, spa, hair salon, among other facilities. Each terminal has information and tourism desk in the arrivals area.

Disabled Facilities - elevators, ramps, adapted toilets and telephones for the disabled. For passengers requiring special attention should be coordinated this in advance with your airline or travel agency.

Parking - The airport has covered and open air parking lots and can be used either for short or long-term. The total capacity is up to 3,100 vehicles. There are spaces reserved for disabled people.
